The new Chromium Edge browser for Windows 10

Microsoft says that the new browser comes with the best extension and website compatibility you can get today.

Apart from that, the Chromium-based browsing tool offers superior support for modern web applications.

Already, the Edge browser supports Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), which offer the best of mobile and traditional applications experiences and features. The World Wide Web is moving in that direction too.

The latest Edge upgrade is available via Windows Update, so you don’t have to install it manually.

This new version provides best in class compatibility with extensions and websites. Additionally, this new version provides great support for the latest rendering capabilities, modern web applications, and powerful developer tools across all supported OS platforms.

Once you’ve received the update, it will replace the existing version of Edge on your PC. Also, it’ll inherit data, including passwords and favorites, from the older Edge.

In addition, the update pins the new Chromium-based Edge to the task bar.

The browser isn’t anywhere near as popular as its main rivals, Chrome and Firefox, nonetheless.

That hasn’t stopped Microsoft from pushing Edge ads targeted at Firefox users as a way to expand the browser’s market share. Windows 10 2004 search users are also encountering recommendations to install Edge.

With new features and capabilities regularly coming to Edge, the browser should continue growing in popularity.
