The official Nokia Here Maps for Windows 8 devices will come with the same features as on other mobile platforms, combining vector, satellite and 3D maps, points of interest, search and route planning. You will also be able to download to your Windows 8 device complete country maps in order to use them offline, for those moments when you are not connected to the internet. Nokia also said that there have been made serious speed improvements to the offline maps and online portions, as well.

As with the previous version of the app it is an all-in-one mapping solution, combining vector, satellite and 3D maps, points of interest, search and route planning. Complete country maps can also be downloaded for offline use, just like you may be used to doing on Windows Phone 8 smartphones.

Also, the app will support Nokia’s latest high-resolution satellite imagery and will keep a record of thesearch history and routes. Obviously, the app comes with touchscreen, along with mouse and keyboard support. The app will first be available for Windows 8 users in North America and Europe, with more regions to follow after that shortly.
