When it comes to issues with a computer setup, there is nothing quite as controversial as privacy and security, especially for big companies that are frequently accused of trying to wrongfully use private information. It would seem that the Creators Update is no stranger to these issues. According to the user who pointed out a specific problem online, the Creators Update is capable of making privacy settings disappear.

On Microsoft’s forum, user AlexFrammatikopoulos said this:

A user was quick to add their two cents saying this:

I have a problem with Windows 10 Creators Update Privacy Settings that does not showing up anymore. I have been informed for Creators Update Privacy Settings but I postponed it. Since then I didn’t receive any Privacy Settings. I guess without it I can not continue for the Creators Update.

Unfortunately, that didn’t help and the OP reported back saying that they have no additional updates pop up as available through that method. It remains to be seen what kind of action Microsoft will initiate or if they are even aware of how its new Creators Update is negatively interacting with privacy settings.

That’s not a problem, you can always get the latest Windows 10 update if you wanted to. Just go to Settings>Update & security>Windows Update and click Check for update. Windows will now check for the latest update and you can just simply install it.
