PUBG Corp. recently released some exciting news for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds fans. The newest map in the game which received the name Codename: Savage will be unveiled, and we’re looking forward to the map’s first private alpha test.
If you have been keeping up with the novelties revealed for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you may have already been able to get a glimpse of some screenshots and also a short video for the upcoming 4×4 map.
Get ready. The first testing window for our new, 4x4km map, codename: Savage, begins April 2 at 7PM PDT. This will be a closed, limited time test.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Codename: Savage offers more intense gameplay
This map will be the game’s first smaller map, 4 km by 4 km. This means that the game will get more fast-paced and intense than ever before.
We promised you that you would get a chance to try the new map very early on and we are delivering on that promise. We haven’t released content so early in its development since our alpha testing stage. We’re doing this because we want to start getting your feedback as soon as possible and drive the development in the right direction.
There’s nothing else revealed about this map, rather than the fact that it looks like it’s set in jungle according to the screenshots mentioned above.
This is a “super early build,” and developers promised that the next one would be more significant. The first testing window opens today April 2nd at 7 pm PDT, and lasts until April 5th, 4 am PDT.
PUBG Corp also delivered an official announcement on the ways that players can get into the map’s alpha test.
We’re expecting more details today and you can read the announcement here.
We will open up our website for distributing access keys on Monday before the test begins. There will be a large number of keys available directly from us. The only requirement to get one will be ownership of PUBG on Steam.
