Samsung revealed its Galaxy Book S at the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event.

Samsung is betting big on battery life with the Galaxy Book S

The ultra-slim laptop looks amazing, and with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8cx Mobile PC Platform, the performance and battery life will surely be very good on Windows 10.

Samsung promises 40% better CPU performance and 80% better GPU performance than its previous Galaxy Book 2 powered by the Snapdragon 850.

As per usual, the Galaxy Book S supports 10-point multitouch and great battery life, like all other Windows 10 devices powered by ARM. Here’s what Samsung is claiming:

With up to 23 hours of continuous video playback, the Galaxy Book S promises to keep your Windows 10 workflow going for almost a full day, and that’s great news for the average user.

Untether yourself from the charging cable with Galaxy Book S’ long-lasting battery life that can power up to 23 hours of continuous video playback with only one charge. To ensure your device is running as efficiently as possible, Galaxy Book S optimizes performance depending on what you’re doing – so you use less energy and save more time to create, stream, play and work.

Galaxy Book S focuses on productivity

Furthermore, the Galaxy Book S comes with Windows 10 Home/Pro pre-installed, a 13.3 FHD display, 8 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage, stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor, and 4G LTE built into it for Cat 18 gigabit cellular speeds.

It comes at around 11.8mm and only 0.96kg, which makes it perfect for on-the-go tasks.

The Samsung Galaxy Book S will have a starting price of $999 and will be available for purchase in September.
