Google News App keeps your personal interests in consideration and offers the best news based on your likings. Yes, it  is finally being replaced by Google News app which comes in a brand new makeover along with new designs and features.

It Starts With Briefing

The initial section that  welcomes you to the app is “Briefing”. Here you’ll find five most important news stories personally handpicked by Google based on your current location and interests. As there are a million of new stories and articles published across the globe, Google smartly curates the best content for you.

If you want more from a particular story then tap on the three dots icon right next to the story to get the relative stories on same topic. Similarly, if you aren’t interested in a particular topic or story then tap the three dots icon on the bottom of story.

Full Coverage

As soon as you opt for full coverage if a particular topic interests you, you’ll be taken to a new “Full Coverage” window. This page is broadly divided into categories which include Top coverage, videos, From Twitter, Opinion and All Coverage.

In the Full coverage section you get curated news from around the world, and Google also offers a feature which allows you to read or listen to news sources of your choice.

Then comes the Headlines

This is the simple straightforward news section that stays common for all users, as it doesn’t tailor your personal interests. Here you will get a broader view of news happening around the world. Simply swipe left or right to explore more stories from a particular category.

Favorites

Not impressed with Google’s Artificial Intelligence? Here’s what you can do to improve your news experience. In the Favorites tab you can help Google and inform it about your interests. You can explore various topics from across the globe and tap on the “+” button to add a new interests.

Newsstand

This is basically the App store for signing up to various news services. In this section you can subscribe to various news publications and sources. The Newsstand section includes both paid and unpaid subscriptions. So, if you want to sign up to new News subscription service, it’ll be billed on your respective Google Play Account.
