The Windows 10 Creators Update issues saga continues. Recent user reports have revealed that this OS sometimes causes Security Audit failures.

Here’s how one user who goes by the name TheRedBatman89 describes this issue on Microsoft’s forum:

“Okay so I have noticed that ever since I installed the Creators Update on Tuesday I have gotten Event ID 6281 which say the following.

Code Integrity determined that the page hashes of an image file are not valid. The file could be improperly signed without page hashes or corrupt due to unauthorized modification. The invalid hashes could indicate a potential disk device error.File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\Windows.UI.dll

Anyone else getting these? I feel a little worried cause the night before this happened I did get a sleep issues which led to a hard shutdown […] But yeah even after that I got no Audit Failure till I did the Creators Update”

The same users also identified the elements causing these Security Audit errors. He confirms that every time he opens the Netflix app, Hulu app or possibly even download an app from the Windows store, the Audit failure occurs.

Microsoft’s forum moderators suggested running the Windows App Troubleshooter, but TheRedBatman89 confirmed that this tool doesn’t fix the problem.

For the time being, there is no accurate solution available to fix the Security Audit failure errors on the Creators Update OS. If, by any chance, you’ve come across any workaround to fix this issue, feel free to list the troubleshooting steps in the comment section below.
