As we continue to emerge deeper and deeper in the world of VR and as tech industries try to surpass each other by bringing more innovation with each VR related release, Microsoft can pride itself in making available an app that has the potential of changing the way the world looks at architecture, and at the same time, the way architects look at the world.

  • CPU, RAM and Network limiter with hot tab killer
  • Integrated with Twitch, Discord, Instagram, Twitter and Messengers directly
  • Built-in sound controls and custom music
  • Custom color themes by Razer Chroma and force dark pages
  • Free VPN and Ad blocker
  • Download Opera GX

Since the days of architectural inception when man was first starting to put pen and paper to work before building something, there has been a certain gap between 2D and 3D. Advanced architectural work ethics and skill will ensure that the final result will be as close as possible to the original design, but often times, it’s not exactly the case. There have been recorded incidents throughout architectural history where the difference between design and creation were astronomical, leading to equally funny and sad moments of human error, such as bridges that don’t meet in the middle.

With HoloLens and the new application called SketchUp, architects are able to recreate a tri-dimensional layout of their work in progress. They can choose to either observe the project from above and also exterior or take a closer glance from within, inspecting the design from the perspective of someone that is entering the building for the first time.

Unlike most virtual reality gimmicks or games that are slowly surfacing, HoloLens and the SketchUp app have a real opportunity to shape the future, as it could evolve into something that over time can become a standard in architectural practices. Last but not least, it would be cool to bring elements seen from sci-fi movies into reality.
